Strategic linear drainage for a high-traffic entrance
At the Mont-Royal Metro Station, a large concrete slab naturally channels significant volumes of water toward the main entrance. This created a considerable risk of surface water accumulation, especially during heavy rainfall.
To address this challenge, a PDX-08.504 linear trench drain system, designed by ABT Drains, was installed.
Made of polymer concrete with an integrated 1% slope, the system ensures efficient and continuous surface water evacuation. Its heel-proof grate enhances pedestrian safety in this high-traffic area.
This solution keeps the pavement dry and ensures the metro entrance remains safe and accessible at all times.
A project carried out with Construction Demathieu & Bard, focused on long-term performance, safety, and urban resilience.
